Become a foster today!

hello.png

The kittens need your help! We’re looking for cat lovers who are willing to give homes to foster cats/kittens until they are adopted or transported to one of our partner rescues. We will provide all the supplies and vet care – you just bring the love!

If you or someone you know is ready to foster, fill out our foster application!

Adams County SPCA and Best Friends Animal Society teamed up to create a new foster program! The program will help place Adams County cats and kittens with loving foster families during their adoption journey.

To learn more about the program, read the Best Friends press release.

WHY FOSTERING IS IMPORTANT

Fostering is temporarily caring for a homeless pet. There are so many benefits to fostering- the pet gets to stay in a comfortable home setting instead of the shelter, they get more one-on-one attention, and certain medical or behaviorally needs can be better addressed in foster care. It's also a great way for your family to spend time with a cool new pet and help them along their journey to a loving family of their own.

HOW IT WORKS

We've tailored our foster program to make it as easy as possible, give you the support you need, and work with you to find the best match possible for your home and lifestyle. Discover how incredibly fulfilling and fun it can be to foster a pet!

As a foster you provide the space and time to care for your foster animal. We’ll give you all food, supplies and medical support the animal will need while in your care. We’ll also take into consideration if you have other pets in the home and if you have the capacity to keep animals separate.

Anyone can foster, but if you are under 18 an adult needs to be fostering with you and they should complete the online paperwork.
